The Wall of Warmth I love using the wood stove. Even though this morning the temperature was 23 F outside, the temperature was in the 70s F inside, and the house heater never had to fire up. I attribute that in part to the wall of warmth, the brick wall where the fireplace resides, the wall which absorbs heat during the night (or whenever else I'm using the wood stove). Here is the wall's temperature at 9 am this morning: 111 F.
