Two different '111' entries from today... (Note how much cleaner the dashboard of the Seven is, compared to the Subaru!) --Bob Collum

Was talking radiolabeling during dinner the other night when someone mentioned Indium-111.

My 1975 Nova. My first car, which I owned for 32 years -- up until last Saturday, actually. I always knew there was something special about it! May 7, 2022:

Just ordered landscape staples. 180 staples for $20 = $20/180 staples = $ 0.1111111111111111 per staple.

You never know when the magic number is going to appear. While reading the latest issue of Evo magazine, I happened across the article on film director, author and racer Jeff Zwart. As you can see, he has a '111' hat on. I'm not sure what the '111' on his cap means; when I looked up '111 cap', I got a page of 'trucker caps', none of which had '111' on them. Zwart is known primarily as a director and cinematographer. (Sadly, he is primarily a Porsche guy... but we can forgive that!) He was director of photography on a movie called 'The Art of Racing in the Rain', a really good book and movie, especially for anyone that loves racing and/or dogs. Need more convincing? The dog in the story is named 'Enzo'... Zwart's car and racing cred? He is an 8-time class winner at Pike's Peak. --Bob Collum

I may have a problem. I saw this in a scene from episode 2 of the 'Reacher' series on Amazon Prime. Check out the hotel room number. (Many people were turned off by the couple of 'Jack Reacher' movies starring Tom Cruise, since the main idea of Jack Reacher was that he is a giant guy. The new Reacher is Alan Ritchson, a 6' 2", massive presence.) It's a good series (though VERY violent) - I can't wait for the new season. --Bob Collum

SHOCKER! Even Porsche knows the value of '111'! (It's their late '50s tractor model...) --Bob Collum
