Darryl, from Odds & Ends Detailing, contributed this pic from one of his cars: Wow! That's fantastic, and a tad difficult to capture let alone repeat! Just 10 ft. too far and it's over!

Kenner brand diecast cars from the early 1980's... FAST 111's!!!
One of the interesting features was that each car came with a one-of-a-kind license plate. Nobody had the same license plate and you could fill out a certificate of ownership. They ran an offer at one point whereby if you sent in a proof or purchase for so many cars, maybe 5, they would send you a FAST 111's belt buckle.

The strangest thing happened yesterday evening. I’m in the kitchen making dinner when I hear a single beep. It was my kitchen timer. I had it sitting on the counter, timing some salmon when it decided to stop partway through – by itself. It had never done that before. I don’t know whether it was a battery issue or what, but when I looked at it, I couldn’t help but notice the display!

I saw this book and D & V Masters Auto Body's lobby... --Bob Collum That’s great! Interestingly, a friend of mine just got a 992, and over the years, I’ve kept him well aware of “111”. So, I just found a copy of that book on Amazon, and it shall make an excellent gift!

A friend of mine flew an F111 in Vietnam. Those planes were NUTS! Nap-of-the-earth flying, at tremendous speeds - before stealth, THIS was how you would sneak up on a target...
