I keep forgetting to post this. Watched it when it came out earlier this week. Loving his appreciation and connection. This guy is certainly the proper owner:

Good video. Some of us may appreciate the YouTube subtitles/closed captions:

A pretty cool article on a Seven camera car for hire. Some of the story is slightly confusing, as the text alternates between calling it a 'Lotus' and a 'Caterham', when, in fact, it's a Westfield 7. It shouldn't keep you from enjoying the story & video, but Caterham sued Westfield in the late 1980's for too-slavishly copying the styling of the Caterham, which is the legally-licensed continuation of the Lotus Seven. It was settled out of court in England, but Westfield had to alter several styling aspects of their cars.
Bike-engined Sevens, from Caterham, Westfield and others, were very popular for a time. They are super-lightweight, and can be powerful (but not very torque-y). A high-revving Seven with a Hayabusa engine and a sequential transmission could probably keep up with practically anything.

Someone recently mentioned to me a movie called 11 Harrowhouse, from 1974 and that had at the end a chase scene featuring a Europa! A quick search on YouTube brought up that scene:
"She's not reckless! She's SKILLFUL!"

I think I've seen this before; but not sure. Either way, this guy runs around the 'Ring quite nicely:

I've never before heard sound both crappy and simultaneously quite lovely. Oh my. Gets particularly interesting after the 1-minute mark:
