From the license plate, it looks like the Elise used in this was from PA:

Interesting specs and I didn't realize the dimensions difference:

Nothing to do with cars; but I found it funny when I came home after just having been briefly befuddled by a starting issue with the Elise to find on my YouTube homepage a video titled THIS:

As with cars, they make automatic big rigs, too. But where's the fun in that!

Not Lotus-related and, fan of the 1982 Trans Am or not, if you grew up in the 80's, you were familiar with this theme song and this bluegrass band has done it well!

My friend recently bought a drone. His drone has a Hasselblad camera, and the quality seems very good. He lives in Seattle, and has done some interesting landscape videos in the mountains and valleys near his home. This was his first try at a moving-object video. I went over the concern that many of us have - making sure the drone isn't flown directly over cars; I've seen a few drove overflights at cars & coffee events, and I share the trepidation that the high-dollar-car owners have. Nobody wants a drone dropping on his car. Mark also showed me that his drone's software warns him when he is in a mandated 'no-fly-zone', like any airport approaches, and the corridor around DC. I think that, handled responsibly, drone video can be an interesting part of car photography. --Bob Collum Let's see how this works: www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/mWMTDq6j2hAVblFQa2BnQjDjiEcqwJZD5xOluxXsnpl?_encoding=UTF8&%2AVersion%2A=1&%2Aentries%2A=0&mgh=1

Someone living next door to me offered to take video of me driving around some of the roads near me (3-mile range this thing had) and I regret not taking him up on it before he moved away. He also toyed with the idea of going with me to the track and, as you mentioned, Bob, a first thought was that nobody would want that around above them while their cars were screaming around the track lest something went wrong.

Watched the video again and this time noticed the remote operator! Didn't see him the first time.
You can definitely get some interesting angles with those things. And with the highly-impressive stability and high-quality Hasselblad, you could take a chance and get that directly-overhead-of-the-car shot that we've been seeking!
BTW, that particular video looked ad-like. Good stuff.
