As an anime (and Lotus) fan, that's a really fun video. I also happen to love the Stratos.

Ahh... the Lotus 23B! Doc Bundy still races one (along with the gorgeous Lotus 72 F1 car) for Regogo Racing. In addition, older-model Lotus owners who have had the pleasure of buying parts from Ray at R.D. Enterprises, you may recognize that their logo is a Lotus 23 mechanical drawing.
Several years ago, at a Lotus Owners Gathering (LOG) in Atlanta, everyone went for a spirited North Georgia Mountain drive. This was on a beautiful, curvy road used by many automakers for impressive driving videos, as it is devoid of ugly armco barriers, and through a lovely wooded area. Two LOG participants were driving a beautiful Lotus 23 replica, made by Xanthos. As fun as the road was, it was also wet and leaf-covered. (I think you can see where this is going...) As we got well into the drive, the distance between cars lengthened. We had been 2 cars behind the Xanthos, and lost sight of it about 3/4 of the way to the picnic stop at the top of the mountain. The Xanthos skidded on wet leaves in a corner, went straight off the road, flew briefly, hit a tree, and slid down the tree several feet to the steeply-sloped ground. Fortunately, both occupants had been securely belted in with competition harnesses. They climbed and crawled back up to the road, where someone in a pickup truck gave them a ride to the picnic stop. They were taken to a nearby emergency room, and one of the guys had an uncomfortable drive home to Chicago, flat on his back in the rear of a Suburban, the next day.
The Lotus 23 - a beautiful, important part of Lotus history!

Stumbled upon this over the winter. From several years ago and not sure who it is. But it was good to find when the roads outside were less than ideal. There's talking, but it's track talk at least.

My favorite YouTube channel, Carfection. They start out talking to someone at Lotus. Good stuff:

Interesting video... we will see if this wild-ass-guess holds any water!
