It's that time of year again, folks - the first local British car show! It's the 26th year for this event, and it's always a good one. This show is held at Gunston Hall, in Lorton, Virginia. We try to get out as many NoVA Lotus members each year, to make a good showing of Lotus! The link is below, to sign up; if you sign up and pay by April 10th, the fee is $30 per car. If you do not sign up early, the fee is $40 per car, but you can pay this at the gate. (We encourage NoVA Lotus members to sign up early, as this allows the organizers to identify the Lotus group as large enough to merit the maximum amount of trophies for our group!) Sign up here: www.britainonthegreen.org/If all goes well, we might have a surprise on display! Note: If you have a Seven, you will need to identify it by registering it as a Lotus Seven, if you wish to be grouped with the other Lotus.--Bob Collum,NoVA Lotuswish to be displayed with our group.

How’s the interest in doing a group drive down to the event? I would still be up for that if it is going to happen.

We had a solid turnout at Britain on the Green today. By my somewhat accurate count, we had around 16 Lotus there today, but not all at once. We had some late arrivals, and a few early departures. (I don't know if anyone in our group stayed around for the awards ceremony; the Triumph Club should let me know soon, if anybody in our group won - we can arrange to get the awards, and distribute them to the winners at some NoVA Lotus event soon...) We did have an Emira at the meet - actually, we had two... If you were there, you could be forgiven for not realizing this; one new Emira owner arrived pretty early in a very dark-green Emira. Sometime around Noon, he had to leave. Just as he was driving away, a nearly-identical dark-green Emira arrived. We had quite a good selection of Lotus today; we had Elises, an Evora, those two Emiras, several Esprits, two M100 Elans, two Sevens, a Europa TC, and an Elan roadster. Thanks to everyone who turned up! We gave away a couple of prizes, generously donated by Zack Farkas. If you have photos from today, please send them in! Our next club event will be our Spring Get Your Lotus Out (GYLO) - which will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2024, from 10AM to Noon: novalotusclub.freeforums.net/thread/1307/gylo-26-sunday-10am-noon--Bob Collum

It was really nice seeing old friends and making new ones-old and new Lotus cars just seem to bring folks together. Thanks to Bob and Kev as always for logistics, photos, etc. Looking forward to GYLO next month-hopefully we can get another Elan, Europa, and Seven to come too!
Cheers-Mark Whitaker
