Winter is here, with morning temperatures varying between the mid-teens and mid-thirties - typical DMV winter weather. We have already had our first real snow in the area,
but it was gone a day or two later.
Let's look forward to the upcoming driving season! NoVA Lotus is starting to populate our calendar for the spring. In the meantime, if there's a dry Saturday that's not too cold - consider coming out to a local cars & coffee with your Lotus. Personally, I attend Katie's, in Great Falls, VA. Last Saturday, Joseph Fontana was there with his beautiful Exige.
There are other cars & coffee events around the area, including Hunt Valley, MD on Saturdays, and Dulles Landing, VA on Sundays. We encourage you, if you have a favorite venue, to post pictures on our website. We have a section on the website for cars & coffee posts - see the link below.
If you have not attended a cars & coffee, you should know that it's a casual event, based on showing up with your car, and talking about cars with other enthusiasts. You don't need to bring a chair, and you can stay as short or as long a time as you like. People LOVE seeing Lotus cars at these events!

NoVA Lotus is organizing a get-together at the track, to spectate at the track event, and to have lunch. No charge to be a spectator at this event. Also, there will be an opportunity to lap the track at lunchtime, at non-competitive speeds. No charge for these parade laps, either. Lunch will be available for purchase at 'Chez Summit' at the track.
There will be a reception held after the track-day. If you'd like to stay to attend that event, there is a $25 charge, to cover BBQ and soft drinks provided. More details:

Britain on the Green - Sunday, April 30th. (REGISTER BEFORE APRIL 10th!) The first big British car show of the season, and always a major event for NoVA Lotus. This is a very well-run event, in a nice location - Gunston Hall (the George Mason estate) in Lorton, VA. They have vendor tents, and food trucks on-site, as well as a large display of British cars of all marques. In order to qualify for the maximum number of class trophies, we need our own Lotus class. The way we do this, is to have as many people as possible sign up early with their Lotus. If we do this, our class will qualify for 3 or 4 trophies.
