NoVA Lotus People:
Fall is here! A great time for Lotus events, and we have some coming up. To keep up with what’s scheduled, you can always go to our website,
and check the Events Calendar… Click on the link below to have a look.
Forum | NoVA Lotus Club (freeforums.net)
Most NoVA Lotus members don’t take full advantage of our website, set up and maintained by our own Kevin McCracken.
If you have questions about using the website, PLEASE ask us!
Among the many pieces of information on the website are:
A section for Member Intros, Updates, and Cars - for pictures of your Lotus, and/or info about you.
The General Discussion section contains a little of everything. For instance, it’s where we announced the Lotus dealership due to open in Rockville, MD, late this year.
A ‘Meets and Events’ section, with pictures from local shows, cars & coffee, etc. (If you want to organize an impromptu drive, you can post it here!)
Note that we rely on participants to keep the track and autocross events updated.
A couple of areas for sales of Lotus gear, and some club items.
A Calendar of upcoming events of possible interest to club members. You can add your Lotus interest events to this calendar.
A Tech section, with items of interest to Lotus owners, for parts and service sources.
A Photos and Videos section, with some great posts.
If you have questions regarding using our websites, and/or posting pictures, just send me an email. It’s pretty easy to post text and pictures, and we have a tool that
allows really good quality photos. Kevin has taught me a lot, and I post a lot on this website… let me know if you have questions!

Next up on the Events Calendar section of the website is – GYLO! We try to schedule two of these Get Your Lotus Out events per year (we only had one in 2021), and
Covid forced us to do virtual GYLOs, which worked fairly well. Sunday, Oct. 23rd, we will have our 23rd GYLO, starting at 10AM, until Noon. Bring your Lotus or Caterham!
We will have a popular-vote, and award prizes. If you like, join us for lunch at Katie’s at Noon. For those interested, Mark Franke has organized a drive to the Flying Circus
event, Flying Circus Airshow - 2022 Airshow Schedule. We will leave from Katie’s after lunch, shortly after 1:00PM, for Bealeton, VA, about an hour drive.
On Sunday, Nov. 13th, we have scheduled a Drive to Lunch. We have reserved a table at the Hunter’s Head Tavern, in Upperville, VA.
We will meet, as usual, at the Blue Iguana parking lot (12727 Shoppes Ln, Fairfax, VA), leaving for lunch at 11:30AM.
Let us know if you are interested, and how many in your party, so we can arrange the correct-sized table for our group.
If you have any other ideas for events, for late this year or next year, let us know. Also, you can post your own Lotus-related events on our calendar.
Speaking of calendars, we are looking at creating a NoVA Lotus 2023 calendar, with pictures submitted by members. Please respond immediately if you would buy one,
and please send your best high-quality, Lotus-related pictures to me. I will let you know in the next update, where we stand on a NoVA Lotus 2023 calendar.
If we do produce a club calendar, the price will be based on how many are ordered, in total, from the club.
Bob Collum, Mark Franke
