They just announced that the Lotus, LTD annual meet - Lotus Owners Gathering (LOG) will be run by the DC Chapter, in Canaan Valley, WV. The dates will be Friday thru Sunday, Sept. 9th thru 11th, 2022. They are trying to arrange a track day at Summit Point, and an autocross at a local parking lot. (Holding these two competition events will depend on the availability of insurance.) The average LOG brings well over 100 Lotus cars, and several hundred Lotus enthusiasts, from all over the US, and the world. If you have any interest in Lotus, you should plan on attending! I will post the LOG website link, as soon as I have it. --Bob Collum

It's going to be a great LOG in a beautiful setting. The planning committee has done this before and I have the honor of being on the merchandise design team. Stay tuned for more details.

Yes, Caterhams are welcome, as are Seven clones. For the 'concours' voting (not an actual concours, but a gathering with a popular vote), they keep actual Lotus Sevens and Caterham Sevens in separate categories. There is sometimes a third category, if other non-Lotus Sevens are in attendance. The aim is to not have someone with a really nice 50's or 60's-era Lotus Seven have to compete against a 6-month-old Caterham or Brunton Stalker. I have been to many of these events. I have seen many Lotus Sevens, at least as many Caterham Sevens, as well as Birkins, Brunton Stalkers, and the Superformance version of the Seven. --Bob Collum

A post on Facebook by Lotus Ltd. Looks like the announcement was initially posted back in early last November:

It's shaping up to be a great event. I wish I could show the artwork. It should be posted when the registration form goes live.

Lotus Ltd announcement from a couple days ago. The host hotel is nearly sold out (and exceptionally difficult to get a hold of by phone). Second hotel is the Blackwater Lodge:

A couple of new bits of information regarding LOG 41, in West Virginia, in September - There will be a track day (not a part of LOG, but LOG attendees are welcome). As soon as I hear about signups for this track day, we will send out an update to our email list. There will be an autocross for LOG attendees, but you will need to sign up for the autocross, as part of signup for LOG. The printed form to sign up for LOG will likely be in the next Lotus ReMarque (the national club's magazine for members), and online signup will be available shortly. Again, we will notify our club members via the email list. Again, if you have not ever been to a Lotus Owners Gathering, you should definitely go to this one - it's not far from our area, and should have a REALLY GOOD turnout. I'd expect somewhere around 130-150 Lotus to be there, and well over 200 Lotus owners, plus some British Lotus people. My wife and I have been to 27 LOGs, and we have Lotus friends, through LOG, all over the US, Canada, and the world! I cannot recommend it enough. --Bob Collum P.S.: You can also buy a REALLY COOL panoramic picture of all the Lotus cars (including yours!) if you attend. The picture below just shows the setup for the 2014 LOG in Asheville - the real panoramic photos are AWESOME! LOG is a BIG DEAL!
