Sorry to say, we have to postpone the drive we planned to make this coming Sunday, August 2nd. We will re-schedule this drive at a later date.
We were able to hand out just two of the Virtual GYLO prizes at the get-together on July 12th: Kevin McGovern, for his win in the Competition category,
and Greg Surcouf, for his Elan +2. If the other winners can contact me, I will make arrangements to meet you somewhere, to award your prizes.
(Prizes are first come, first served!)
I’d be happy to hear any feedback on whether or not we should do our next GYLO in the virtual format, and what changes we should make, if we do.

MBCA|GWS Shenandoah Track event, September 26 and 27, 2020
Dear Tommy,
For the past few years, Lotus, Ltd. and Mercedes-Benz Club of America (MBCA) have been joining hands, working together to bring you our Performance Driver Education Events.
The MERCEDES BENZ CLUB OF AMERICA, GREATER WASHINGTON SECTION has asked us to let our members and friends know that they are invited to attend the MBCA|GWS Shenandoah Track event on September 26 and 27, 2020.
Please see the information below from
Fraser Dachille, the MBCA|GWS Driving Events Co-Chair.

Registration is open for the 2020 MBCA|GWS Track event! This year we are still on for full weekend in late September (September 26/27, 2020) in West Vriginia.
We are now two (2) months out from this event, and the situation surrounding this Virus seems to still be changing on a daily basis. That said, we are still on-track (pun noted) for our September event. As things progress, and we get closer to the event date, we will finalize the COVID-19 specific changes that we will implement. Rest assured that we will be following the current National, State and Local guidance in putting on this event. As always, saftey is a priority.
At this time, and as with years past, we are still planning to have both Instructed and Solo run groups and the skidpad will be open all day both days. We hope to offer parade laps as we have in the past, but this will be dictated by the current guidance on non-participants at the venue at the time of the event.
We have full weekend, or single day, registration (but it is highly recommended to sign up for both days). Camping is allowed at the event.
Registration is currently open, and available here: MBCA/GWS Summit Raceway Shenandoah Track Event . Schedules, event packets, and tech forms are posted on the registration page currently.
As always, but even more so now, the above is subject to revision based on new guidance, restrictions, or mandates.
If you have any questions please email me directly.
See everyone is September! Stay safe until then,
Fraser Dachille
MBCA|GWS Driving Events Co-Chair
