I went to a picnic held by a Jaguar guy in Maryland on Sunday. He invites car friends over, and the mix is pretty nice. Here are some items of interest... There were, by my count, 13 E-Types on the lawn, plus an additional 3 in his shop. (He restores Jaguars as a hobby.) They had three of the new Mustang GT 350's, and a very rare Alfa 8C! --Bob Collum

More from the Sunday picnic... I bought my (now sold) Jag XK Coupe because of its similarities to the Aston DB9 (same designer, Ian Callum). The middle pic is what is claimed to be one of the original 'Ferris Bueller' cars, complete with license plate. (Actually, a Mustang chassis and engine, with a nicely-done fiberglass body, and a lot of expensive details - Scuderia shields, correct badges, etc.) The real giveaway was, if it were a real vintage California Spyder, it would be worth ~$14 million, and there were no guards next to the car. Some really nice older British cars there. --Bob Collum
