There are supposed to be three screws on the engine cover with a star pattern. One of mine has fallen out. Where can I find a screw like this--it's not a Lotus-specific screw, is it? And what tool do you need to screw it in? Thanks. Attachments:

Hmm, I have normal cap head allen bolts on mine. Guess the previous owner did that, but it is nice for two reasons - the black screws match better than shiny ones, and you can use just a standard tool. And to anwer your question, it is a typical, metric screw (Torx), but I don't recall the dimensions right off. You can just take one out (an undersized allen bit will actually work if you don't apply a lot of torque), and then take the screw to Lowe's and match it up there.

Those look like they have a torx head. McMaster-Carr should have them. I believe they are M6-1.00 x 16mm.
I've got plenty of black oxide ones with an allen head if you want. Wouldn't mind dropping some into an envelope for you. Or else, if you want silver, you can try McMaster or maybe an auto parts store.

Thanks much. Now that I know what I'm looking for (Torx), they seem to be available all over the place. I will hit Home Depot or Sears.
