Club Event Reminder: We have scheduled a club trip to Quattro Goombah Brewery & Winery, Saturday, March 19. We plan on gathering at the Blue Iguana parking lot (12727 Shoppes Ln, Fairfax, VA) around 10AM. We will leave to drive to Quattro Goombah at 10:30AM. If it’s more convenient for you to meet us at the destination, Quattro Goombah is located at 22860 James Monroe Hwy, Aldie, VA. They serve pizza, sandwiches, and bar snacks. (Outside food and drinks are not allowed at the venue.)
We are sending the following track day info as a club update, because it is recommended that you join the national club (Lotus, LTD) in order to get the early registration notice. Getting early notice will be key, as this is a first-come, first-served event.
If you are interested in upcoming car events – track days, autocross, group drives, car shows, and cars & coffee events – keep an eye on the calendar on our club website. If you know of a car event that is not listed, let me know. The link to the calendar is below:

Track Day:
Information for all LOG 41 attendees: Though there is no Performance Driver Education event at LOG 41, you can still get your fill of a track day on your way to LOG 41! Summit Point Motorsports Park in West Virginia is holding their “Friday at the Track” (FATT) track event September 9, 2022 and has made special accommodations for you! Although this track event is not organized or run by Lotus, Ltd., or the LOG 41 organizers, this is an opportunity for you and your Lotus to enjoy a track event in the nearby hills of West Virginia.
LOG 41 attendees are invited by Summit Point Motorsports Park to register early for this performance driving event. Summit Point's Shenandoah Circuit is a 2.2-mile road course that first opened in 2005. Designed for all skill levels from beginner to expert, it is a very technical track. It even contains a dimensional replica of the Nürburgring-Nordschleife’s famous Karussell turn, complete with 20 degrees of banking. The track has both positive and negative camber, increasing and decreasing radius turns, and some elevation changes. Many consider this circuit to be perfectly suited to a Lotus; it has over 20 turns!
Bill Scott designed Shenandoah to mimic many of his favorite corners seen at tracks worldwide. It’s a no holds barred technical challenge, yet it’s approachable for novices and rewarding for seasoned veterans alike. FATT is offering instructed and solo run groups for all levels: novice, intermediate, and advanced. This event will be run with an emphasis on three key concepts: fun, learning, and safety. Helmets rated to Snell SA2015 or newer are required for all participants and must be worn at all times on track.
On or about July 28th, 2022, Lotus owners and LOG attendees can register via a private link, shared via email and on the Lotus, Ltd. website,
(for informational purposes only). Public registration opens on August 1st, 2022. There is limited availability so register as soon as possible if you plan to attend. Cost for pre-registered drivers is $315 (price is subject to change).
To be included on the announcement when this FATT is available to pre-register, you should join Lotus, LTD. (You will need to be a Lotus, LTD member to attend LOG, anyway.)
