A reminder – we have scheduled an impromptu get-together of Lotus cars at the Blue Iguana parking lot for Saturday, 03/27/20, from 10:00AM to Noon. Masks required, and social distancing will be observed. It’s supposed to be a beautiful day!
Alan Olson has suggested a drive beforehand, starting at 8:00AM on Saturday, and ending up at the Blue Iguana parking lot by 10:00AM.
If you are interested in the drive, contact Alan at - alansolson@gmail.com.

We have a fairly good start toward getting the needed 40 people together for the virtual tour of Classic Team Lotus. As of right now, we have the names of 27 people, willing to pay $25 to participate in this virtual tour. (We will need 40 paid participants, to cover our costs.) If you are interested - let me know by return email ASAP. This event would be scheduled for non-business hours, probably sometime in April. Below is the description from a previous club update:
We have been in contact with Richard Parramint, a Lotus friend in the UK. Richard has worked in many roles for Lotus directly. He is a huge Lotus enthusiast, and an accomplished public speaker. Richard can arrange a virtual tour of Classic Team Lotus in Hethel, UK for NoVA Lotus. Classic Team Lotus is a very impressive shop, run by Clive Chapman, (Colin’s son), and employs several ex-Team Lotus mechanics, restoring and maintaining all manner of Lotus competition cars. Richard has offered to put on a virtual tour for us, and he would arrange experts to chat with us about the cars. If we can get at least 40 people in the club interested, our cost would be $25 per head, and the virtual tour would last 90 minutes. You would see cars that are not available to be seen by the general public without a visit to the museum. Having done the tour before, I consider this to be a good value.
If you have ideas for club events, let us know. Also, keep an eye on the NoVA Lotus website, especially the calendar. We will post upcoming car shows, etc., there.
