Hoping to make it up for this show this weekend. My plan is to bring up the Esprit...my Lotus luck hasn't been too good recently, mostly with the M100.

Fun show. I got back late, and I stayed until the end.
The turnout was around 122 cars (I believe that’s what I heard), Lower than expected, but fantastic weather.
By my count, we had eight Lotuses.
For Lotus awards, I heard B. Scates’ and M. Whittaker’s names called, and then I didn’t hear the winner. Instead of a name, I think the MC called out a car number. I’m sure the results will be on the BOG website soon.
I didn’t win anything (at least I didn’t hear my name or number), but I got a mighty clean car out of it and a window sign (I never had one and threw something together at 11 PM last night)!
The Classic vs. Modern display was pretty cool. Interesting pairs, including Lotuses, Jags, Minis, Morgans, and Defenders (1969 and 1997).
I took a bunch of pictures, and I’ll post some tonight.

Great photos-just like a magazine shot esp of the Esprit and Elan driving on the gravel! According to BOG facebook page, Lotus winners as follows:
1st- Mark Whitaker-69 Elan
2nd- Kevin Kilcoyne- 2005 Elise
3rd- Bob Scates- 78 Esprit
Was a nice show even with the decrease in number of cars. I liked the Cortina Estate- how cool it would have been with a twink under the bonnet. No Jensen Healeys-too bad. Missed the Morris Traveller from before as well.
Cheers, Mark Whitaker
