Our regular spring GYLO is now scheduled. We will meet at the BACK lot of Katie's (all the way in back of the circle road around The Old Brogue restaurant - 760 Walker Road in Great Falls Village - Great Falls, VA). The event will start at 10:00AM Eastern Standard Time. We're expecting a really good-weather day! The 'lower' lot we have traditionally used has had commercial vehicles parked in it on Sundays, making it difficult to get all the Lotus parked in one spot.
There will be the standard popular-vote 'Favorite Lotus' contest, with prizes. If all goes well, you should see a good amount, and a good variety of Lotus cars and people.
We will be driving out to Quattro Goombah for lunch afterwards - all are welcome to come!
We hope to see you all there!

No surprise, but we'll be there in the Mini if we can make it. But hey, at least it is British!

Because we have had difficulties in getting a decent amount of contiguous space on Katie's lower parking lot, Katie's owner Mike suggested we use the extra parking lot next to the Wells Fargo Bank. The bank is at 750 Walker Road in Great Falls, VA, directly across Walker Road from the Safeway. The parking lot we will use was formerly used by the food vendors on Saturdays. (There should be not vehicles in this lot - this lot is visible from the Katie's lower lot, which we have used recently.) Here's a map:

We will start at 10:00AM - we hope to see you there... Mark has prizes ready to go! We will start GYLO at 10:00AM on Sunday, 05/19/19. After the event (probably between 12:30PM and 1:00PM), we will go to Quattro Goombah - 22860 James Monroe Hwy, Aldie, VA.
Please contact me if you have any questions. We're looking forward to good weather, and a great turnout!

Here's a map, to (hopefully) make directions clearer. The Wells Fargo bank next to this lot is at 750 Walker Road, in Great Falls, VA. If you've been to Katie's before, you'll know that Great Falls Village is a little village shopping center, accessible either from Georgetown Pike (Route 193) or Walker Road. If you are entering from Walker Road, you will see our GYLO 17 setup right away; we will be right next to Walker Road. If you enter Katie's from Georgetown Pike (the entrance to Great Falls Village is between the BB & T Bank and the US Post Office, and is directly across from the Great Falls Fire Station), you can drive straight at the stop sign. The road will loop around Great Falls Village - you should see our GYLO 17 setup before you have to make your second left turn. GYLO17Map.pdf (142.84 KB) --Bob Collum

A beautiful day for getting together with friends, and gathering the Skittles-colored sports cars. The final count was 19 Lotus, and David Craig came all the way from Canada! My unofficial tally was -

What a great day! Always a fun time. Indeed, a huge thanks to Mark for scoring those awesome prizes! Terrific! And, of course, a huge shout-out to Bob as well for not only his event organizational skills but his continued influence over the weather powers to once again stave off the rain! Was neat seeing David Craig’s leg trick “live.” On LotusTalk, he’s got a compilation that’s he’s been adding to since 2010! www.lotustalk.com/forums/f68/so-elise-requires-flexibility-eh-87485/A blast talking with everyone. What a great community we have! Panorama (some cars were out of frame and not in the photo):
