I just purchased a 2011 NA Evora with 18K miles. It has the factory muffler...snore. I have considered Larini but that seems like a long shot price wise and otherwise, for me anyway. The Top Speed Pro1 with Resonator has my interest at $719 and free shipping from Texas. I sure would welcome your thoughts. Bob Sowder, Roanoke

I just don't understand why these mufflers are priced so high considering that the "R&D" that goes into them is just "does it fit and how loud is it?". I recently bolted up a $90 magnaflow to my Elise and only needed a $10 piece of tubing and some brackets I made myself. I've not looked at the Evora that closely, but even if you had a shop custom make some bends for it to work, you'd be nowhere near $700. The neat thing, too, is that I can make the exit pipe extend inside the muffler and actually tune the loudness. It's plenty loud though when the engine really starts screaming, but it isn't bad at all when just puttering around.
