The 39th annual Lotus Owners Gathering, the national Lotus club meet, will be held in Sturbridge, MA August 23rd thru 26th, 2019:
lotusltd.com/log39/
Set aside the time now... In recent years, there have been over 150 Lotus cars, and between 200 and 300 Lotus enthusiasts at LOG. You will see more Lotus in one place than you ever did before. You will meet people who have been deeply involved in Lotus cars and the race team. You will make new friends. If you have any questions about LOGs, ask me, or anyone else who has been to a LOG. It's amazing!

This year's Lotus Owners Gathering is in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, from Friday, August 23 thru Monday, August 26. If you have not been to a LOG, you are missing A LOT. Nowhere else, outside of England, will you see 150+ Lotus, and hundreds of knowledgeable Lotus enthusiasts, as well as famous people who are part of Lotus history. The LOG schedule: Friday evening is the welcome party, Saturday morning is the casual concours and panoramic group picture of the cars, with the banquet and speaker Saturday night. Sunday is the rally and autocross. Monday is track day. I've been to 24 LOGs, and I have run one (LOG 15, in 1995, in the Poconos). Take my advice: clear time to go now, and do two critical things -1.) Make hotel reservations. Modern LOGs, with 250+ people in attendance, fill up the host hotel FAST. While arrangements have been made for overflow, you will not be in the center of the action if you stay at a 'backup' hotel. To make your Reservations please CALL the Hotel directly (the room block won’t work properly on line) at 508-347-7393 and ask for the “Lotus Limited Room Block” at the rate of $112 per night per single or double occupancy. Please make your reservations early to get the Room Block rate, otherwise these are some other local accomodations: Hampton Inn, Sturbridge Comfort Inn, Econo Lodge, La Quinta Inn. 2.) Sign up for LOG ASAP. The financial penalty for waiting to sign up is significant - basic registration is $110, if you register no later than June 15th. The registration price goes up to $135 if registering by July 23rd. Registrations received after July 23rd are $185. In all these cases, a spouse or other guest is an extra $75, no matter when you register. There are extra charges for LOG meals, and you can buy LOG-logo'd shirts, as well. Here is the web link to the LOG registration: lotusltd.com/log39/The guest speaker is former Lotus F1 driver, Martin Donnelly. The autocross and track events will be held at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. Any questions about LOG? Ask me.--Bob Collum robert_collum@hotmail.com You never know who you will meet at a LOG - this is Elisa Artioli, posing in front of our Elise. (Her grandfather, Romano Artioli, head of Lotus at that time, named the model after her.)

Good to see Dave again. Haven't seen him in a while. With as many miles as he's racked up with his Elise, I'm sure he would look forward to the drive to LOG 40.
Did the chassis make it in to the panorama?
Is that one of the St. Tropez Esprits? Looks great, even more so with the top off.

The Elan chassis was in the panoramic photo - I think the Mk. 9 body was in the photo, too. Yep - the St. Tropez and the 47D got a lot of attention. --Bob Collum
