A NoVA Lotus member used to own this car - it is now up in Pennsylvania.
The Omega, an Opel-based 4-door, was completely re-engineered by Lotus, back in 1990-92. At that time, General Motors owned Lotus. This car had the stock Opel engine massively upgraded - Lotus pushed the straight-six out to 3.6 liters, and twin-turbocharged it to an amazing 377 horsepower. The car used the same 6-speed manual transmission that was in the (also Lotus-fettled) Corvette ZR-1. The suspension was completely re-done by Lotus. The Omega (and the right-hand drive version, the Lotus Carlton) was the fastest production 4-door car in the world for several years in the 90's. Both were given Lotus Type number 104. A terrific car, that followed other great Lotus-tuned cars such as the Lotus Cortina of the 60's. There are already a handful of Lotus Omegas in the US, even though they were never imported, originally.
