EVERYONE: Please be sure to RSVP with headcount via the Evite link (immediately below), since Jeffrey will be going by headcount on that site, and will send out reminders based on Evite RSVPs -evite.me/NbpBrp1qwpMessage from Our Host:Join us for an early lunch, drinks, and enough Lotus talk to send non-car spouses screaming from the room. It's a great time to come together in the New Year, reflect back on all the breakdowns we had, and celebrate a year of Lotus profitability. We will also make it a planning meeting to talk about events for 2018. Guests: Kids, spouses and random people you picked up because they wanted a ride in a Lotus are welcome. Food: Please bring a side dish or dessert and a favorite alcoholic drink if you have one. We will supply the main course and some other non-alcoholic drink options. If you have any food allergies or preferences, let us know in your RSVP or via a separate email. Parking: Assuming global warming does its job, bring your Lotus as there is plenty of street parking on a quiet dead-end cul-de-sac. Disclaimer: We have a 4.5 month old puppy, cat and two teen-agers. If you are allergic to any of these, please bear that in mind.

The NoVA Lotus 2018 Planning Meeting is coming up. The meeting is scheduled for Saturday, February 10th, starting at 11:00AM at Jeffrey Hammer’s place in Arlington, VA. Have you RSVP’d yet? Please do RSVP if you are coming, at this link:
www.evite.com/event/0188LPNI4H2GVIPXUEPH5MMKVHAGLQ/rsvp?utm_campaign=send_sharable_link&utm_medium=sharable_invite&utm_source=novalotusclub.freeforums.net
If you are going to attend the meeting, great – be sure to bring an appetizer/side/dessert and your ideas of what events we should support this year.
Even if you can’t make it, let us know what you’d like us to do as a club. We will certainly have a presence at a couple of the major British car shows locally – Britain on the Green in April, and the Hunt Country Classic in October. We will also have two of our ‘Get Your Lotus Out’ events, and we’d like to hear what you think of the most recent GYLO, where we combined GYLO with a cookout.
We’d like to do several group drives, as the ‘drive to lunch’ we did to Quattro Goombah’s was a popular event. The drive to Kevin McGovern’s Annual Lotus party was fun, as well. Purely social events were popular, too – our December dinner at Ciao Osteria was well-attended.
The national Lotus car club meet (LOG) will be in Cleveland, Ohio from August 10 thru 13. Always a good time, expect to see well over 150 Lotus cars ofall kinds there.
Caleb, Tyler and Duane are our die-hard track and autocross guys. They go to track events, camping out and flying the NoVA Lotus banner. They post good info you’d need to sign up for track or autocross events – (thanks guys!)
We are a growing and diverse organization – 98 users on our website, with owners of both old and new Lotus.
Come to the planning party! If you can’t, please send your ideas. See you at several events this year!
Keep in mind that, if you have a last-minute idea for a quick drive or some other event, this website is here for you to get the word out. Make sure you check here regularly!

Woo-hoo! Looks like 22 people signed up. The only 'downer' is that they are calling for afternoon rain, so - no Seven driving for us! Please bring your ideas (and calendars - we already have some events planned). We hope to have a good bunch of events scattered throughout the year...

We had the NoVA Lotus planning party today, and let's first give HUGE thanks to Jeffrey and Anne Hammer for opening up their gorgeous home to us. We had a tremendous response to the party invitations - 22 RSVPs, plus 4 Maybes. We certainly had at least 26 people there, and I think perhaps more. We had a great time, wonderful food, and we even did the planning portion. Thanks to all who participated!

(It's not all about the cars, it's not all about the cars, it's not all about the cars...)
Damn it, it's a CAR CLUB! Thanks to the members who brought their Lotus to the party today. (I didn't.) Half-credit to Tyler for driving the Mini.
