Bob Dance
Team Lotus: 1960-1969/1977-94, Currently: Classic Team Lotus
This gentleman really needs no introduction, having spent the last 50 plus years in motor racing at the highest level. Working with drivers...Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Ronnie Peterson, Ayrton Senna, Mika Hakkinen and of course securing the 1978 F1 World Championship for Mario Andretti.
Starting at Lotus in 1960 he moved to March Racing in 1969 and was seconded to STP to work with Mario. Two years later Bernie Ecclestone asked him to join Brabham where he remained until Colin Chapman managed to persuade him to 'come home'.
The following seventeen years were spent at Team Lotus, until its demise in 1994. Bob was asked to join Tom's Toyota where he stayed until Clive Chapman (son of Colin) asked him to....return home once again. So, with Bob just turned 82 years old he now works three days a week for Clive, mainly running Jim Clark's World Championship winning Lotus 25.
Richard Parramint
Lotus Ltd Tours
A fan of Lotus for the last 54 years, both road cars and Team Lotus. He joined the factory in 1968 building Elan's, Europa's and Elan +2's. After a few years, new challenges called so he left Lotus and went into the world of sales. Richard returned in 2000 to 'help out' the Lotus Driving Academy resulting in him looking after VIP's, corporate clients making sure that they completely understood Lotus DNA. A change of CEO in 2014 confirmed it was time for the 'Lotus Expert' to move on. Richard now hosts Lotus Historic Tours, based around the two Goodwood events....Festival of Speed and Revival.
Richard also runs a very successful business, Positive Speech, coaching people in the valuable art of public speaking which has taken him around the globe speaking and training.
