The first big British car show of the year, Britain on the Green, will be held again this year at Gunston Hall in Lorton, VA. The show is scheduled for Sunday, 4/30/17. Show field opens at 9:30AM. Here is the link for the show's website: www.capitaltriumphregister.com/bog/We had a great showing last year, and would like to repeat that. This is an informal show, with cars judged by other car owners from all groups - not a formal concours. If we have between 7 and 10 Lotus pre-register before April 1st, the Lotus group will have 3 trophies awarded. If 11 or more Lotus pre-register, the Lotus group will have 4 trophies awarded. Registration starts 2/15/17 - motosho.com/event/bog We hope to see you there - it's a good time to get together with a large group of British car fans... --Bob Collum

This one is right near my house (Lake Ridge). Maybe we could do a cookout over there afterwards?

Sounds great, Caleb. If you will be attending the planning meeting on Sunday, March 5th, we should discuss this in more detail.
Thanks!

At the planning meeting, Caleb Yow extended the invitation to a cookout after Britain on the Green to our club members (apparently, including Almighty). Thanks, Caleb & Jessica! More details to come, as we get closer to this 4/30/17 event. Be sure to sign up for Britain on the Green and postmark your entry no later than April 1st, so we can have enough Lotus registered to maximize the number of trophies for our group. The Glahns will, once again, set up a tent, and we will have some snacks available at the show. Here's a link to the Britain on the Green registration site: motosho.com/register/5887e20f8f056Register now! I've got two Lotus registered, and the Glahns have their Elan registered already. Thanks! For those who will be going to the Yow's cookout after Britain on the Green on 4/30/17, they will be providing burgers and hot dogs, based on how many people are coming. Please RSVP to Caleb -
cjyow5@gmail.com
The Yows ask that attendees bring a side dish or dessert to the cookout. They will send their address in response to your RSVP email.
Thanks to Caleb and Jessica for stepping up to offer our first cookout of the year! We will head over to their house as soon as the Britain on the Green awards ceremony is wrapped up - probably between 3:30PM - 4:00PM.

The weather for Sunday looks great... We hope to have plenty of Lotus cars and people there, and there will be A LOT OF BEAUTIFUL BRITISH VEHICLES! You should come, even if your Lotus is not currently operational. I have no idea how many people will be at BoG with Lotus, but the Yows say they have at least 13 RSVPs for their after-BoG cookout. Thanks, Jessica & Caleb! --Bob Collum

Britain on the Green was a great time. Lots of great British cars, including 13 Lotus! Sunny all day, a little warm, but Mark Franke came thru with a couple of pop-up tents, and we were set... --Bob Collum

While we all had a good time (sorry Bob & Sharon Scates had to leave early, though), we extended the day by attending the cookout hosted by Caleb & Jessica Yow. (Yes, the picture below shows 8 Lotus in front of The Yow's home - most of the 13 Lotus at the show were also at the cookout...) Caleb & Jessica, thanks for your hospitality! Another great day with the fine people of NoVA Lotus. We hope to see even more of you on Sunday, 05/07/17 at Get Your Lotus Out...
