Duncan:
I'll be at the lower parking lot, with my detailing stuff. I will not wear short-shorts.

GYLO 12 is in the books. We had 22 Lotus cars there, but I have to tell you that Kevin (our webmaster, KSM) was there even before our setup team of Mark, me, and my wife Debbie got to Katie's.
A newcomer, David, drove down with his girlfriend Sarah, all the way from Michigan! We also had a couple (sorry, I missed your names!) that stopped by on their way home from Dulles airport, having been on vacation in England. Bob and Sharon Scates didn't have their Esprit, but came out anyway. Tim Glahn took a break from working on his Elan to come socialize.
It's worth mentioning that we had 7 Chrome Orange Lotus there today - 1 Exige and 6 Elises. It's a wondrous thing to see this many Lotus, no matter what, but to see this many CO cars... it was like early Halloween! For variety, we had two Sevens, 4 Esprits, and 2 Evoras. Two of the blue Elises were notable, first, because Dave Wilde's Magnetic Blue example is pretty rare, and Bill Orr's Laser Blue is even more so. Also, these two cars offered sharp contrast; DWilde's Elise has over 125,000 miles on it; Bill Orr's has 2100 miles. Both have had their cars for several years - Bill has several cars (including several Lotus) to choose from, so he drives his Elise rarely.
As always, Mark Franke arranged to have a good number of prizes available. Thanks also to Darryl from Odds & Ends Detailing for donating the car care supplies. Duncan and Rochel won 1st place for 'Favorite Lotus', and Tyler's immaculate Exige took second.

...and, some more... Mickey's '87 Esprit. David, who drove down from Michigan had an Elise with the HRM removable T-Tops. The crowd paying rapt attention to important announcements by Mark Franke.

I'm glad that we were able to fit this into our trip. We were the couple who had just returned from England... We will have to make more regular trips up from Virginia Beach.

Thanks, Todd. Any chance you can come up for the Hunt Country Classic car show, Sunday, October 9th, in Middleburg, VA? Several of us will be there. Below are some pictures from last year's event. --Bob Collum

I was planning on the timing belt during this years cold season, but this confirms it.
