Eric Zausner was a regular at Katie's Cars & Coffee, as soon as he moved back to the area from San Francisco, around 2013. Eric had a long history with interesting cars - I was told he was an avid Ferrari collector for a while, while living on the west coast. Before he moved back to Maryland, he returned to his first love - customs and hot rods. He collaborated with custom builder Steve Moal on several projects. The first we saw at Katie's was the 'Torpedo', a red roadster with cycle fenders and an ostrich leather interior, powered by a Ferrari F550 Maranello V12. Other Zausner-Moal collaborations he brought to Katie's included the black '34 Zephyr, with a Buick V8, and the silver '34 Ford Victoria, with a Falconer 800hp V12, which was also used in airplanes and boats. The Aerosport has an interior inspired by WWII-era military planes: www.motortrend.com/features/eric-zausners-1936-ford-roadster-blends-the-elements-of-a-hot-rod-sports-car-and-fighter-plane/Eric Zausner will be missed! --Bob Collum
