Several events coming up!
Need Company for the drive to LOG?
In the last Update, I posted a request for LOG attendees who want to ‘caravan’ with other people heading to Canaan Valley, West Virginia. I was able to put a few people in touch with each other. It can be fun to caravan, and it’s a great idea if you are driving an older Lotus! If you are interested, send me an email with the day and general time you are leaving for LOG, the general area you are leaving from, and what you will be driving. I will forward your info if I have anyone else in the area going when you are. (Once I forward your info, I will not be involved in these travel arrangements.) Please send your info to –

Friday at the Track (FATT), Before LOG:
Separate from LOG, there is a FATT (Friday At The Track) going on at Summit Point on Friday, Sept. 9th. There will be some people participating at FATT, then going over to LOG from the track. Our own Marc Caden sent this info, and a request:
1. If anyone would like to spectate at the Friday at the Track at Summit Point WV there will be at least 11 Lotus driving on track (including Elise, Exige, Evora, Espirit), including three Lotus driving instructors. If spectators arrive by around 11:15 am, they can sign a waiver and participate in low speed parade laps at lunch time where we will be stopping and taking a picture of any Lotus attendees on the track itself. Additionally, if spectators sign a waiver and wear a loaner helmet, they can ride on some "hot laps" as the passenger of a FATT instructor. At the end of the event, Marc Caden and Gary Davis will be leading a caravan from Summit Point to Canaan Valley with a comfort break mid-trip. Note also: Phil Mitchell said he was going to gauge interest on leading a Caravan from Canaan to Summit Point on Friday morning.
2. Would anyone would be willing to volunteer to photograph the Friday at the Track Event on Friday September 9th? The photographs would likely be included in a Remarque article on the event and the volunteer will receive a special Lotus track day shirt for free. Anyone interested in volunteering can reach out directly to: marccaden@yahoo.com
