It's a 340R. Pretty neat cars, only a small handful in the States, I understand. We had one at a GYLO event years ago. Based on the license plate, it was that very one.

Yep, that's the local one. This model, which is fully road-legal in England, is a throwback to the original design of the Elise. The first Elise concept was essentially a four-wheeled motorcycle, as light and basic as was possible. No roof, no doors, minimal windscreen. While this concept was later changed to include such amenities, to allow for MUCH wider sales, worldwide, Lotus later decided to make the 340R to satisfy this niche. They are extremely light - about 1545lbs, and had Rover I4 engines, whose various configurations yielded between 177 and 189hp. Here's a pic from that GYLO, mentioned by Kevin: --Bob Collum
