GYLO: Our appropriately-named "Get Your Lotus Out" event (also known as GYLO) will be held on Sunday, May 29th, at Katie's Coffee lower parking lot, in Great Falls Village, VA. If you have a Lotus, bring it. If you are 'between Lotus', or temporarily without your Lotus, come on out and see old friends, make new friends, and ogle beautiful cars. GYLO will run from 9:00AM to 11:00AM on Sunday, 5/29/16. Afterwards, we are driving to Quattro Goomba's winery & brewery in Aldie, VA. You are welcome to join us - we will have a special Lotus area for parking. You can bring your own food, or you can buy pizza and pub food at Quattro Goomba's.

GYLO stands for 'Get Your Lotus Out'. Come do just that on Sunday, May 29th, from 9:00AM - 11:00AM, at Katie's Coffee lower lot, 760 Walker Road, in Great Falls, VA. We will have a lot of nice cars, and a lot of interesting people who share your love of the Lotus marque. Bring your Lotus car, and vote for your favorite Lotus. Afterwards, if you like, join us for an easy 30-minute drive to Aldie, VA, to Quattro Goomba's winery & brewery. It's a great setup - you can bring your own lunch, or buy pizza or pub food at Quattro Goomba's. We will have a special parking area for Lotus cars. Join us for a really fun outing! (Below are a few shots of cars from our first three GYLO's, back in 2011 & 2012.) --Bob Collum

A glorious morning - clear, and warm. We had, by official count, 29 Lotus in attendance. Several new people showed up, along with a lot of returning regulars. There was pretty good variety of cars - Elise, Exige, Evora, Esprit, Sevens and a 340R. We had a popular-vote 'Favorite Lotus' contest. 1st place went to Rashid's Elise. (That's Rashid, showing his car to the Fairfax police officer who dropped by.) It's worth noting that Rashid also took first place in our popular vote at the Britain on the Green car show in April - great-looking car! 2nd place was a tie, between Norm's Seven and Mark's 340R. 3rd place was Duncan's Esprit V8. --Bob Collum

Here are a few pictures from today, just because I liked the pictures. (The first one is our two cars, staged in our garage for the event today.) The two Fairfax policemen that dropped by seemed to appreciate the distraction on a holiday weekend. --Bob Collum

That was a great turnout for a holiday weekend. BTW is there a way to make the pictures popup onto a new window? This way the main page stay on...

That was a great turnout for a holyday weekend. BTW is there a way to make the pictures popup onto a new window? This way the main page stay on... Hover your mouse over a picture, and it opens it up, full-size. (You will want to position the thumbnail you want to expand at the top of your computer screen, before doing the mouse-over.) --Bob Collum

There should be some settings on the backend to change the default to open pictures onto a new window as well as the mouse over or remove the current settings so only mouse over works. Users have a habit of clicking on thumbnails to view enlarged pictures

A couple of pictures from our after-GYLO lunch, at Quattro Goomba's winery. Pictures provided by Mark Franke. About half of the people who came to GYLO also went to lunch together. --Bob Collum
