In Austria in 2003, I spotted an Opel Speedster with the top off parked along a side street. First time seeing one in person. It was a little bit spartan, a little bit dusty and I immediately fell in love with the entire concept. A few months later, what arrived in the mail but my November 2003 Road & Track announcing that the Elise will come to America! Knowing right then and there that I would have an Elise of my own, I put the magazine into a closet for safe keeping. FINALLY, just recently, I busted it out of the closet and put it into a floating frame and hung it onto a wall:
