Hey guys and gals, Any interest in some mountain cruises throughout the spring and summer? Since my car has been out of commission (hopefully for not much longer now), I've been finding what seem to be some pretty good roads around west of Harrisonburg which also has a neat downtown that could be fun for dinner afterwards. Devils Backbone Brewery is also out that way and could make a good destination for those of us who lack Duane's sophisticated taste for wine

Great idea! Also, we will certainly have one or two drives out to Winchester, to meet at Zero-to-60 Energy Cafe, NoVA Lotus member Chris Daniels' place. We went on a REALLY NICE drive out to West Virginia with him last fall, and he has several routes. He is happy to arrange for a group drive, pretty much any good weekend. --Bob Collum

I inhabit the mountain area. If you wish to plan for mountain drives, I can help as we live at the base of the 211 climb into the park. There are lots of kick-butt roads and lovely scenery, as well as at least 15 different wineries, though I'm not a big drinker so I'm not well-versed in vintages. I'd enjoy guiding and/or hosting--though our house will not be finished until probably November, we're renting out here until the end of Summer...Tom

It looks like I might be able to start putting the car back together now, so I am going to aim for going up to 0-60 Cafe in Winchester on the 23rd then driving through Fort Valley.

If my brother comes into town then I probably won't be doing any car stuff, but if not then I'll try to make it. The Lotus won't be ready though without a miracle, haha

She lives! I finally have insurance reinstated on the car and drove it around the block. I just need to do a couple tiny touch up things, but I am planning on a shakedown run June 4 or 5. I have a college friend who just bought an Elise in NY and will be driving through on his way to GA, so he might join in, too.
