Bob - I 100% agree with your remarks. This was one of the best GYLOs yet. I liked it when we combined with other car events so non-Lotus people could see our awesome display. Then when we went to Sundays alone at Katie's it turned quieter (and not as much fun for me personally). Yesterday was fantastic for all the reasons you named above. Even without my car I enjoyed spending time with fellow owners and friends. Food is a great excuse to hang out and be social. Thank you for all that you and Mark do.

I wanted to thank all of you for your hospitality. I had a great time, learned a lot, and met some very nice people. Best of all my wife Gabriela had fun which doesn't hurt my cause😀! Looking forward to showing up with a Lotus in the future.

For me, I’ve always enjoyed the GYLO events and felt that the previous GYLO’s, including the ones with just our group at Katie’s, such as GYLO13, that my wife also enjoyed, were fun. Always drove home thinking to myself “what a good event.” But there definitely seemed even more socializing, even tighter connections with this latest venue. What was it, like 8 people didn’t bring their Lotus? That’s people coming out for the people. Or, perhaps people just coming out for Mark’s burgers. Tasty! That’s not to say we didn’t have cars, though. Net at any given moment may have been lower than at our previous events; but, if you watched, if someone pulled out of a spot, within a few minutes, a new car would come up and take its place, almost like, if you blinked and hadn’t paid attention to what had been parked there just moments ago, you may not have realized what had just happened. And we had some non-Lotus toys there as well and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the gentleman for the tour of his nice NSX. BTW, I was one of the folks who showed up without their Lotus. Brought my daily as I had to pick some folks up after the event and wasn’t going to be able to do so with the Elise. Still got to review Elises in general with Chad, however. Good meeting you! And, wow, what a buffet of prizes. That may have been the best swag yet! Thanks for the t-shirt and I feel fortunate as well to have been the recipient of the old Lotus books and articles that Bill Orr contributed. Thanks for those. Again, very nice event and looking forward to the next one. Photos and slides (larger versions of the photos) below. BTW, it wasn’t until after I got back home when I realized why my car’s trunk looked a tad empty. If anyone found an extra cooler, that was probably mine. Enjoy the potato salad! I guess, if someone has it, I’ll pick up the cooler and ice pack at one of the next events!

Even though I couldn't make it due to a scheduling conflict I am grateful to Mark and Bob for once again hosting what looks and sounds like a great event! I look forward to the spring event!
I do have a suggestion for next year's fall event. It is clear we will never actually be able to host our own Lotus track day due to cost, risk to car, or lack of interest. However, we could always piggy back on an existing event. There are never spectator fees at HPDEs, so what's stopping us from having a GYLO there?? Plenty of room for parking, shelters are available, and there is food on site (track food) but grilling is always encouraged! This would give an opportunity get your car on track (without the club investing a ton of money), see your friends on track (and other interesting cars), and just enjoy being in the Lotus natural environment!

Anyone find a cooler? KSM left a cooler at the GYLO14 pavilion. Red & white Playmate cooler and inside were a couple of containers of potato salad and an ice pack. If anyone found it, please post or drop him an IM.

If anyone found it, please post or drop him an IM. Yes - Mark Franke has it. Somehow, he got the idea that there was going to be a nationwide run on coolers, so he snagged it as we cleaned up. As he was driving away in that Ferrari-thing he drives, he was heard to shout "I'll be fabulously rich, with all these coolers! Muahahaha!" Seriously, Mark has it, and will save it for you. --Bob Collum
