I had to cancel :/ Stupid interior fan has turned into a huge project. I figured I would insulate and patch everything while it is apart, but no light at the end of the tunnel quite yet.

Is it under the dash? You don't need a dash for a track day. If it was a normal car, it would be. But nope, I have pulled the clam and heater/AC unit. I have rebuilt the resistor pack with better parts (and actually insulated it from the environment. Crazy), but I am just waiting for a couple more parts to arrive before I can start reassembly. Especially with this humidty, not having defog could be bad, and no AC would be miserable. It should run much, much better when I am done though. Having the basement flood last weekend didn't help, so I doubt it will be ready until the last minute.

You don't need AC, you don't need to defrost, you don't need any fans in the car, and Lotus has made an updated and insulated resistor module.

My rebuttal: I want AC. The end. To add to that though, I have driven without the defog before, and it was extremely annoying. On top of that, I need to get the car inspected, and it is legally required to have a functional defog as per 19VAC30-70-230. Lastly, my resistor pack has slightly different positions that I tailored for how I want, and I upgraded the wire gauge. Also, the sealant they used has degraded to the point that I was probably losing half my air. Oh, and the diverter flap was not working, so a new one arrived today. This is all too much work to do individually, so I might as well do it all now rather than later.

A perfect weekend at the track! Hope to see any of you out there in September at Dominion. It's the same weekend as GYLO, but you can at least show up for one of the days.
I brought my previous best of a 1:44.8 to a 1:41.2. That's the last event on that circuit this season (with SCCA), I'll have to wait until next year to give it another shot!
