^My favorite work parking spot. In the morning, the early morning sun hits it, which makes the chrome orange really pop. In the late afternoon, it's in the building's shadow, quite nice in the summer. And being behind the building, where there's a mound of dirt and then woods, it's out of view from the main road. More people started parking in back once they realized the secret of the cool, shady shadow; however, the spots next to me, driver's side, are for electric cars and we have only one or two guys ever park there and they park on the end, making that spot next to me empty, making it great for opening the door.

From the same batch as the other interior "interesting garage lighting" shot:

My friend, Chuck B, took this picture on Saturday morning, 05/19/18, at Katie's. It's an iPhone photo; great detail! --Bob Collum

As Lotus fans, we appreciate elegant engineering solutions. This is not one of them. This pole cracked during the severe windstorms, earlier this year. Someone decided it was OK to reinforce this pole with a piece of lumber, and some bolts. It's lasted several months, but I am wary every time I pass it...

Very nice shot, Kevin! I've always thought the Elise looks particularly good in an overhead shot. (Here's my crappy attempt.)

Thanks! I was able to get the front by leaning over with a ladder. I don't have a shot of the entire car yet, though. At least, not from absolutely directly overhead, which is what I would love to get. What I have in the way of the entire car overhead so far is something similar to yours, which I took from my office window!

The reason I drive this to work is so that I can drive it home. Bring on the day...

Met up with the local flying club over the weekend. BBQ, movie-night and flying, including going up in this Cessna 172D with a pilot buddy of mine.

Cool! My first question was, 'which weighs less?' An easy find - the Cessna beats out the Elise, 1669 lbs to 1975 lbs. OK - with your 'Elise Challenge Grill', maybe your Elise is only 1950 lbs.... --Bob Collum
